Dear Pastors and Praying Friends,

Thank you so much for your continued prayers and support as we serve God here in Bosnia. We are continuing to pursue learning the language here with an intensive course at a language school. We are so thankful for the teachers that God has given us and for their patience with us as we make a lot of mistakes. God has also been so good in giving us many friends that are willing to help us with our language learning. Sometimes it can be frustrating to start saying something to a friend and have about every third word corrected either in pronunciation or in the form of the word used. There are seven cases for every word here so it is fun learning when to say each one. This has definitely been good for us in many ways. One of the best ways to deal with this frustration is to just laugh at the mistakes and then move on. It makes our friends feel comfortable correcting us and lightens the mood so we don’t take everything so seriously.

We were also able to teach English for a few days at a local house here hosting refugees and immigrants trying to make there way into the European Union. Please pray that through the relationships that we are building there we might see many come to know the Lord as their Saviour.

Praises from August:

  • Made progress in the language.
  • Able to read and understand much more of the Bible in the language.

Prayer Requests:

  • Language and Culture learning.
  • The birth of our son this month!
  • For open doors to share the Gospel with people.
  • Elections here in Bosnia.

Yours for Bosnia and Herzegovina

Micah and Kathryn Rastelli
